The United States: The Great Experiment Is In Danger
It’s our own fault, and I’m worried about our future
I have a difficult time understanding our politics.
A portion of the country is okay with settling for someone who might be considered the better of two evils. The rest of the country is willing to back someone who, in my opinion is without a moral compass, a possible sex offender, and a likely criminal.
Neither of these individuals truly identifies with the majority of the country. The fact is that both are too out of touch to adequately represent anyone but possibly those of their own generation. This isn’t strictly a problem with the presidency either, but also with Congress.
Mitch McConnell is the perfect example. He has finally decided to step aside as Senate Majority leader in November. This was long overdue. The same holds true for Biden and Trump. Their times have passed and they will do nothing but continue to divide our nation and disenfranchise our younger citizenry if they continue on with their ultra-partisan policies.
So what are we to do
The unfortunate answer is I don’t know.
