iPad 7th generation with Apple Smart Keyboard (Image by Author)

As I’ve mentioned in some of my previous articles, I’m a relative newcomer to the Apple ecosystem. I started out like most people by switching to an iPhone from an Android phone.

This switch was pretty simple for me since I really don’t do anything taxing with my phones. I use them to text, do some banking, occasionally browse the web, and surprise surprise I make phone calls. None of these functions are performed any differently on either smartphone platform.

A few months later I splurged on an iPad. Money was a bit tight so I went for the base iPad 7th generation with 128GB of storage. It’s the first iPad I’ve ever owned.

Previously, I used inexpensive Kindle tablets and was always pretty happy with them — that is until I purchased the iPad. The difference was astounding. I had no experience with any other tablets other than the Kindle so I was shock at just how good the iPad was.

I still have both of these devices that I purchased in late 2019 and use them daily. What amazes me though is that even after two years of ownership I still find them satisfying to use. They are both still getting operating system updates and these updates go a long way to making my 2 year old…
